Overview

Terrill A. Wilkins is a Partner with Abrahamson Vorachek & Rdzanek. He is a proud graduate of the South Carolina Honors College – University of South Carolina (B.A., cum laude, 2007) and the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 2013). Terrill counsels employees in a variety of private-sector matters, including employment disputes involving workplace discrimination and harassment, family and medical leave, disability accommodations, retaliatory discharge, contract disputes, and employee benefits and executive compensation. Terrill has represented employees before the federal, state, and local employment law enforcement agencies (EEOC, IDHR, CCHR), as well as in federal court litigation. He has also represented numerous employees in both private and court or agency-led mediations.

Terrill has also conducted sexual harassment training and provided counsel on employee handbooks and policies at the request of employers. He is a member of the Illinois Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Terrill is also an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association, in which he serves as a council member of the Young Lawyers Division, as well as the American Bar Association, in which he is a member of the Section of Labor and Employment Law. In 2019, Terrill was selected for the Section’s annual Leadership Development Program, and he is active in the Section through his Section Standing Committee (ERR), and by serving as the Employee Co-Chair of the Section’s Outreach to New and Young Lawyers Committee. Terrill has been recognized by the Leading Lawyers network as an Emerging Lawyer for three consecutive years. Most recently, Terrill was named an Illinois Rising Star for 2021 by the publication Illinois Super Lawyers, which awards the top 2.5% of lawyers in the state who are under 40 years old or practicing less than 10 years.

A former high-school history teacher, Terrill maintains his passion for education and community involvement by serving as the Co-Chair of the Associates Board of the Academy for Urban School Leadership, and as a community-based mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago.
